Fee:

$200 per 50 minute hour (sliding scale available)

About:

Don is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Soul Restoration Project. His counseling experience includes working with couples, young adults, and individuals.

His areas of focus include relationship challenges, depression, father wounds, men’s identity and sexuality, men with sexual addiction, and grief/loss issues. Don also speaks on pre-marital preparation, sexual addiction and recovery topics. Don’s passion is bringing God’s healing and restoration to the lives of those he counsels.

Don is also a CSAT (Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist) working with people to restore their lives and relationships. Sexual addiction is complex, but it is possible to escape. He is a trained CSAT, and have completed training created by Dr. Patrick Carnes. It necessitates continuing education to help him remain an expert on sexual addiction and this rigorous training helps him provide the best possible treatment.

Don has a BA in Psychology from University of California, Riverside, a Masters in Counseling specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy from Cal State Long Beach. Don has a background in campus ministry and has worked with college students and their leaders for over 15 years. Don has been married since 2000 and has a son and daughter.

Don is also a second generation Asian-American who was raised in Southern California. He understands the issues that can come up from the merging of different cultures and understand the complexities of interracial marriages.

Pre-Marital Counseling Package:

Don offers a four-session pre-marital counseling package that may also be used by couples who have not made a formal commitment to marriage, but who are considering becoming engaged. Through the use of questionnaires and an assessment (Prepare-Enrich), this package incorporates in-depth evaluation of family history, personality, and expectations for marriage.
