About
The journey of healing and wholeness begins with being seen and known for who you truly are. Such vulnerability takes courage, and I want to help foster a curious, compassionate, and collaborative environment where you are able to explore your story without judgment.
I long for people to know they are are not alone on the sacred and demanding path of flourishing. I want to partner with you in addressing some of your core concerns so that you can relate to yourself and others in a more fulfilled, purposeful, and congruent way.
My approach is informed by a psychodynamic perspective, which means we will consider the various ways your early experiences impact your present relationships and engagement with the world. As you uncover these layers of your story, I hope to be a meaningful presence with you through the grief, pain, and disorientation that often surfaces. Our time together will be marked by gentle, patient, thoughtful, and honest conversations about what matters most in the deepest parts of who you are.
If you desire spiritual integration, I am passionate about helping people consider the ways their life with God intersects with their journey. I want to provide a safe space where people of faith are invited to explore the realities of mystery, doubt, struggle, sexuality, gender, and incongruence. Whether on the path of deconstructing or reconstructing your faith identity, I want to help you heal from harmful spiritual experiences, beliefs, and habits toward a more healthy and whole life with God. As a ministry leader with over 20 years of experience, including many years as a lead pastor of a local congregation, I am especially interested in working with individuals in christian leadership as they navigate the complexities of their vocation. Wherever you are in faith, I long for you to "behold the One beholding you and smiling."
What I Do in My Free Time
In my free time, I am so grateful for those moments that remind me of the beauty and wonder of this life. Here’s what often pulls back the veil: Meaningful conversations with family and close friends; Reading (or re-reading) a book; Writing a well-crafted sentence; Taking a walk; Making a photograph; Paddling out in the ocean on a surfboard.
